BLACKPINK is a globally recognized K-pop girl group from in Seoul, South Korea. The quartet — JISOO, JENNIE, ROSÉ AND LISA — debuted in August 2016 through YG Entertainment. Their debut album SQUARE ONE featured hit songs “Whistle” and “Boombayah,” and was the first by a female K-pop group to sell over 1 million copies.. BLACKPINK made their debut on the Billboard Hot 100 with “DDU-DU DDU-DU” (2018) and “Kill This Love” (2019). In 2020, the foursome released their debut studio set, THE ALBUM, featuring singles “How You Like That,” “Ice Cream” with Selena Gomez and “Lovesick Girls.” Their sophomore album, BORN PINK, arrived two years later and became their first to top the Billboard 200 and the first album by a female K-pop group to sell 2 million copies. After embarking on their Born Pink World Tour, which was the highest attended tour by a female K-pop group, BLACKPINK made history as the first Asian act to ever headline the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in 2023. In late 2024 and early 2025, the four members focused on releasing their respective full-length solo projects before announcing plans for a 2025 world tour.
