Charli xcx is a pop singer-songwriter from Essex, United Kingdom. Born Charlotte Emma Aitchison, the artist grew a cult following with the release of her 2013 debut studio album True Romance. After releasing the single “SuperLove” in 2013, Charli’s commercial breakthrough arrived the following year with her sophomore LP Sucker (2014) featuring the single “Boom Clap,” which peaked at No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100 and marked Charli’s highest-charting solo single to date. Ahead of the album’s release, the singer also collaborated with Iggy Azalea on the No. 1 hit “Fancy.” Further projects in Charli’s discography include the EP Vroom Vroom (2016), mixtapes Number 1 Angel and Pop 2 (both 2017) and studio albums Charli (2019), How I’m Feeling Now (2020) and Crash (2022). Charli’s sixth album, Brat, was released in June 2024 and earned her two Grammy Awards: Best Dance/Electronic Album and Best Dance Pop Recording for “Von dutch.” In November 2025, Charli released the song “House” in collaboration with John Cale of the Velvet Underground, which was featured on the soundtrack for the film Wuthering Heights. Charli’s seventh studio album, Music, Fashion, Film, is due out on July 24.
