In 2018, J-Hope (commonly referred to as Hobi) dropped his debut solo mixtape, Hope World, and became the first BTS member to earn a solo hit on the Hot 100 the following year with his viral single “Chicken Noodle Soup” featuring Becky G. J-Hope unveiled his debut solo album, Jack in the Box, in 2022 — the same year he became the first South Korean artist to headline a major U.S. festival with his fiery set at Lollapalooza. In 2023, the artist took a hiatus to complete his mandatory Korean military service, with BigHit releasing J-Hope’s album Hope on the Street Vol. 1 in 2024 and an accompanying documentary series during his enlistment. In 2025, Hobi will embark on his debut U.S. solo tour.
